1,000,000 visitors !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dear readers, we have reached the 1 million "unique visitors" threshold, a remarkable feat for avant-garde and adventurous music. Today's technology allows me to announce that the 1 millionth visitors came through the "Jazzrochester" link, and that she/he is based in Brooklyn, NY. There is nothing to win, unfortunately, we are not McDonald's.
I truly hope that the musicians and labels have benefited from the exposure this blog has given them.
I equally hope that many of these 1 million visitors have come across musical discoveries in the past few years.
Keep reading, keep listening!
Open ears make open minds.

"there is nothing to win, unfortunately"
Are you kidding?
I win every time I visit this site.
I can't tell you how many wonderful hours of listening pleasure I have enjoyed because of an album I learned about on this site.
Everybody wins !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll agree loudly with Steve P. I was introduced to some of my favorite artists through this site.
Off the top of my head, Lotte Anker, Alexandra Grimal, Mary Halvorson, Harris Eisenstadt.
Then there's the artists I already knew with an album I hadn't known of. The Wadada Leo Smith-Ed Blackwell comes to mind.
Thanks to Joe, Paul and especially Stef. I'm certain you guys have had a huge impact on improvised music sales.
Congratulations Stef!
Keep up the good work.
Steve, Richard,
Thanks for the nice comments.
.... and Richard, I hope you are right about these sales!

Thanks everybody for the nice comments. It's great to see that there's such enthusiasm for music which opens up the ears, and who knows, maybe the mind also!
I guess it's a win win situation for us all, we enjoy listening to and writing about music, and it makes it extra fun to know that people are enjoying reading our articles.
Big thanks to all, and an extra thanks to Stef for keeping all the balls up in the air at one time.
